Dave Covin is the President and Director of Fremont Group. Dave joined Fremont in 2015 as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer and was elected President in March 2021. He serves as the Chair of the Investment Advisory Committee.

Dave has over thirty years of experience in a variety of roles with major global financial services and consulting firms. After graduating from Princeton, Dave spent eleven years with Goldman Sachs in their derivatives group with experience in trading, marketing, structuring, and risk management of credit, equity and interest rate products. In 2006, he joined McKinsey & Company and was a partner and senior member of the Corporate and Investment Banking practice.

Prior to joining Fremont, Dave served as the Chief Financial Officer for Citigroup’s Markets and Securities Services, the bank’s largest division. He was a member of the Markets and Securities Services Executive Committee and responsible for the development of overall strategy, implementation of strategic initiatives, balance sheet management, and resource allocation.

Dave serves on the boards of several non-profit organizations. Dave is a Board member of the William & Mary Foundation and on its Investment Committee. He is President of the Board of Trustees of the Princeton University Rowing Association and President of the Board of Trustees of the Oakland Strokes Rowing Club for high school and middle school students. He is a founding member of the Advisory Committee for A Most Beautiful Thing Inclusion Fund that supports education, scholarship, and mentorship programs to get more kids rowing from non-traditional communities and communities of color where youth face barriers to participation in the sport.
