David R. Covin

David R. Covin is Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer, and Director of Fremont Group with responsibility for managing the financial operations of the company, leading the corporate support groups, and advising senior executives on business, financial and strategic matters.
Mr. Covin has over twenty years of experience in a variety of roles with major global financial services and consulting firms. After graduating from Princeton, Dave spent eleven years with Goldman Sachs in their derivatives group with experience in trading, marketing, structuring, and risk management of credit, equity and interest rate products. After Goldman, he continued his career as a managing director at Merrill Lynch and JP Morgan. Given his extensive expertise in financial services and risk management, in 2006, he joined McKinsey & Company and was a partner and senior member of the Corporate and Investment Banking practice. During his time at McKinsey, he advised global financial institutions and regulators on overall business strategy, risk and capital management, expense management, and customer experience.
Prior to joining Fremont, Mr. Covin served as the Chief Financial Officer for Citigroup’s Markets and Securities Services. He was a member of the Markets and Securities Services Executive Committee and responsible for the development of overall strategy, implementation of strategic initiatives, balance sheet management, and resource allocation.
Mr. Covin is President of the Board of Trustees of the Princeton University Rowing Association and a Trustee of the Princeton National Rowing Association.
Mr. Covin has a B.A. in Economics from Princeton University.
